White Teeth Whitening from a Dentist
If you choose to go to a dentist to have your teeth whitened, you will find it to be the best way to get your teeth whitened. It may also be the most expensive. Your dentist can get the top of the line products, so he/she will be giving you the best. This means your teeth will become whiter faster. The dentist will educate you about what to expect from your white teeth whitening treatments. He or she will hopefully convey to you that getting sparkly white teeth is not an overnight process and moderate whitening of the teeth should be expected. If you start with yellow teeth, you shouldn't expect to get extremely white teeth using white teeth whitening products.
When you go to the dentist in hopes of securing teeth whitening products, you should be aware of some stipulations. First, you will have to have exam and x-rays if you are a new patient. For returning patients, you may need new x-rays if your x-rays are too old for the dentist's comfort. Moreover, you should expect to pay more at the dentist's office than you will for white teeth whitening products you order over the internet or buy in the store. When you get to the dentist's office, you will have to have a mold of your teeth taken to ensure the bleaching agent used to whiten your teeth gets in all the crevices of your mouth.
White Teeth Whitening via Over-the-Counter products
If you aren't interested in going to a dentist for your white teeth whitening, you may want to look at possibly using product that is available over-the-counter or online. These products usually have a weaker bleaching chemical in them, so they will not offer the same results a dentist's product would. This is not to say they are not worth using. These white teeth whitening products will whiten your teeth and will do so very much, if you are willing to be patient. One word of caution: be sure to follow the directions on the product to ensure you do not irritate your teeth or gums while you use the product. This can cause a lot of pain, so don't try using it more than is recommended.
